Tencho Tenev is a member of the FSC with a 4-year term of office.
He was born on Aril 10, 1950.
He graduated form the UNWE, where his major was Foreign Trade Economics.
He was awarded the degree Doctor of Economics in 1981 and the title senior
research associate at the Bulgarian Academy of Science in 1989.
During the period 1974 - 1992 he was involved in scientific research at the
Institute of World Economy and International Economic Relations.
From 1992 to 1997 he worked for Electronica Commercial Bank AD and Sofiabank
Commercial Bank AD, which were consolidated into Biohim Commercial Bank AD,
where he was an expert, chief expert, head of the Investments unit and head of the
Liquidity division. From 1997 to 1999 he was the executive director of Biohim Commercial bank AD.
In 1999 for a short period of time he was elected chairperson of the
management board and executive director of Nasarchitelna Banka AD.
From June 1999 to August 2001 he was chairman of the board of
directors and chief executive director of Central Cooperative Bank AD.
In 1998-1999 he was elected member and later chair of the council of directors of the Sofia Stock Exchange AD.
