APOSTOL APOSTOLOV


Apostol Apostolov is the chairperson of the FSC, who was elected with a 6-year term of office.

He was born on December 5, 1968 in the town of Plovdiv. He graduated the Plovdiv Technical University, where he majored in Computer engineering and the University of National and World Economy in Sofia, where his major was banking.

From 1992 to 1994 he was chief expert at the Plovdiv Stock Exchange and a broker at the Sofia Commodities Exchange. Between 1994 - 1996 he was the executive director of the Plovdiv Stock Exchange. From August 1996 to September 2001 he was the executive director of Central Depositary AD and from December 1998 to September 2001 he was also the executive director of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange - Sofia AD. From December 2001 to February 2003 he was the chair of the board of directors of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange - Sofia AD.

During the period from September 2001 to March 12, 2003 he was the executive director of the Privatization Agency.
